Who are we?
We are Robb & Marie-Carmen,
We met in Bangkok while we were both travelling solo and our adventure in Burma turned out in a love story.
After moving back in Europe to be together, we decided that living there was not our thing and that we needed to go back to what we loved: Travel.
2 years of hard work in Europe and after selling all that we owned, we moved on, bought a one way ticket to Ho Chi Minh City, bought a motorbike and started our adventure. We got through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand and now stopped in China to explore this big, mysterious country.
Marie-Carmen. I’ve spent most of my life hoping to get out of France and travel the world. As you might have guessed from my name I come from a Spanish family that moved to France a few years back. While most of my family dreamed of their roots in Andalusia I was dreaming of the other side of the world.
I’ve been travelling since I was 4 with my parents, backpacking in some Asian and North African countries. I think my parents gave me the bug. At 21, I moved to Tokyo for an internship and loved every second of it. After that I just couldn’t stay in France. I moved to the Netherlands, England but that wasn’t enough. Travelling in Asia and working in China have now made me one of the happiest woman in the world. I left a life of stress in Europe for a simple, lovely life in Asia.
What do I do? I take photos, I make too many projects and enjoy writing about the places I have seen and loved. I’ve discovered through our travels a real passion for portrait photography. I can see stories in the lines that shapes people’s faces.
What do I bring to the blog? Festivals, off the beaten path Chinese adventures and reviews on current top destinations in the area. If you need to know something about an area I’ll be happy to go and explore it for you!
Robb. The British part of this adventure has started travelling only a few years back. He left his job and left for India for a year. Pretty courageous if you ask me to go to India for your first trip. He’s always been a big fan of motorbikes and kept this going while travelling, buying an old bike when possible.
What does he do? British humour, that’s what he does best. After all you’ve got to make your readers laugh!
What does he bring to the blog? Robb writes funny, sometimes sarcastic, pieces about our travel, our misadventures. He also writes motorbike’s guides for the readers here that wish to explore the world on two wheels.
